Local Author wins Bray Person of the Year

Emma Hannigan, Bray Person of the Year 2011

Last night, at a Gala Awards Dinner in the Royal Hotel, Bray, bestselling author Emma Hannigan (Talk to the Headscarf, Miss Conceived, Designer Genes) was honoured by Bray and District Chamber who awarded the Bray native with their star award of ‘Bray Person of the Year’.

Emma, whose life story as a six-time cancer survivor brought tears to the eyes of last night’s attendees, was given not one, but two standing ovations as she accepted her award.

In February, Emma launched her latest bestselling book ‘Talk to the Headscarf’ , an autobiographical account of her successful battle against cancer, in Dubray Books on Main St. Bray. All of her books are available at Dubray, other good bookshops or online. Learn more about Emma on her own website www.emmahannigan.com
